Fashion hair and makeup looks, can range from “no makeup” and bed hair, to glamorous volume and sultry eyes, to pushing the limits and creating avant-garde concepts. When it comes to fashion, hair and makeup should be the icing on the cake rather than the main feature. The two should work harmoniously to express the vision whilst capturing the overall vibe of the look. When working on fashion campaigns, shoots or events, I always devote time to considering the collection or pieces that have been designed, and to the models and their skin and hair type, so that I can fully understand and envision the story. Once I have this, I let my imagination and skill take over to create complimenting looks. Fashion is a form of art, one that will sustain a trend or one that will stand the test of time. It’s through fashion that you can create contradictory looks, use contrasting colours themes and still make it aesthetically pleasing.
